Wycombe Abbey School Hangzhou (WAS Hangzhou) is a coeducational bilingual school in Hangzhou, founded in 2021. Teaching is conducted in English and Chinese. Around 600 students aged 3–18 study within a system that integrates Chinese and British curricula, guiding learners from EYFS through IGCSE at 14 and A-Level at 16 toward an international secondary diploma. Programs include Early Years, Primary, Middle, and High School, as well as academic pathways such as Jurisprudence, Finance, and Business.
The academic model emphasizes interdisciplinary, project-based and research-driven learning. Alongside classroom study, students receive structured university counseling, exam preparation support, career guidance, and seminars on admissions. As a result, graduates enter leading universities in the UK, USA, Canada, and other countries; 92% obtain offers from QS Top 50 institutions, including UCL, Imperial College London, and UCLA.
The 100,000 sq. m. green campus (84,000 sq. m. built area) features a central lake, landscaped gardens, a Chinese Culture Center, Forest School, sports complex with swimming pool, Arts Center, and advanced STEM facilities. The architectural design received a Bronze award at the 2023 International Design Awards. Boarding houses accommodate students with mentor supervision and plan expansion to 960 places.
