The Sungkyunkwan University Summer Camp in Suwon, South Korea, offers week-long educational programs for students aged 7–17. Sessions are co-educational and run from July 6 to August 7. The camp focuses on modern technology fields, allowing participants with any level of experience to study programming, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, game design, and filmmaking.
Classes take place at Sungkyunkwan University, one of South Korea’s leading universities and ranked second among the country’s “Best Global Universities” by U.S. News & World Report. Instruction is organized in small groups to ensure close interaction with instructors, with a maximum of ten students per teacher. The curriculum combines practical training with certification opportunities and emphasizes skills widely used in technology and creative industries.
Students work with advanced software and hardware, including tools developed by companies such as Adobe, Epic Games, Autodesk, VEX, Sphero, and Roblox. The teaching team consists of qualified instructors and technical professionals who contribute industry insights to the program.
Participants stay in the Myeong-ryun-hak-sa campus residence complex, which houses about 1,432 Korean and international students. Accommodation includes several dormitories for local and foreign students, providing facilities for study, leisure, and daily living.
In addition to academic sessions, the camp organizes excursions around the campus and nearby cultural sites. Students may also visit local attractions, join guided campus tours, and optionally use a swimming pool.
Applicants must have sufficient English to understand the lessons; technical preparation can range from beginner to advanced levels. Scholarship opportunities are available for students from different financial backgrounds, with applications accepted from December 1 to April 15. Some scholarships sponsored by corporate partners may include additional requirements and specialized programs.
