Royal Dubai School is a British curriculum day school for children aged 3 to 11, founded in 2005. Located near Mirdif with excellent transport links, it hosts over 1,000 students from around 70 nationalities. The school holds an “Outstanding” DSIB rating and British Schools Overseas status.
The curriculum follows the National Curriculum for England, adapted for the UAE. Classrooms feature interactive whiteboards. Specialist facilities include an innovation lab, library, IT suite, music and art studios, and a theatre.
Sports facilities include two swimming pools (25-meter and children’s pool), an indoor sports hall, and outdoor courts. Athletic programs offer football, swimming, cricket, gymnastics, and cross-country running.
Extracurricular clubs include orchestra, science club, choir, chess, cooking, and yoga. Educational visits complement learning.
The academic year has three terms. School runs Monday to Friday. Graduates transition successfully to leading Dubai secondary schools.
Admission requires an application form, passport copies, birth certificate, vaccination records, and school reports for the last two years. Application fee is $143, and the registration deposit is 10% of annual tuition.
Sibling discounts apply (up to 50% for the fifth child). Emirates airline staff receive a 5–15% discount.
