LTL Summer Camp in China is an international Chinese-language program for students aged 7–17, welcoming participants from many countries. Camps operate in three locations—Beijing, Taipei, and the coastal city of Beihai—offering different cultural settings across China and Taiwan. Children under 11 may attend only if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The study schedule runs on weekdays, with classes held each morning from Monday to Friday. The curriculum includes 20 hours of instruction per week, equivalent to four hours per day, and focuses entirely on learning Chinese in an immersive environment.
Accommodation can be arranged either in supervised student residences or with carefully selected local host families. In residential housing, students share rooms and remain under constant supervision from teachers and security staff, while camp coordinators also live on site. Host families provide breakfasts and dinners and assist with everyday matters, giving students additional opportunities to practice Chinese in daily communication.
Learning is complemented by cultural and recreational activities. Participants regularly explore the surrounding cities with tutors, visiting museums, parks, theaters, markets, and other attractions. Depending on the location, excursions may include places such as Pudu Temple in Beihai, Longshan Temple and local markets in Taipei, or the Temple of Confucius in Beijing. On campus, students can join leisure activities such as badminton, chess, Chinese painting, or simple workshops like preparing lemonade.
Programs are flexible in length, allowing families to choose from one to ten weeks. The main season typically runs from early June to mid-August. Tuition generally includes lessons, accommodation, meals, transportation, and emergency assistance, with airport pickup available in Beijing and Beihai. A 5% discount is offered when two or more participants enroll together.
