Lexis Korea Language School

Countries: South Korea
Categories: Language Courses

Lexis Korea Language School, founded in 2013, teaches Korean to international students aged 16 and older. The institution operates campuses in Seoul and Busan, both situated in central districts close to public transportation and surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Modern facilities and specially designed study spaces create a contemporary environment for language learning.

Courses are suitable for students with any level of Korean proficiency, including beginners. On the first day, participants complete a placement test so they can be assigned to the appropriate class. Lessons emphasize practical speaking skills for travel, work, and everyday communication, and teachers often speak several languages to assist new learners when necessary.

The school offers a range of accommodation options near its campuses. Students may stay in Lexis student residences with furnished rooms, private bathrooms, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and shared kitchens. In Seoul, the residence is located next to the campus, while the Busan residence stands opposite the school in the Seomyeon area. Homestays are also available, allowing students to live with Korean families in city apartments or suburban houses and experience daily local life. Another budget alternative is mini-studio accommodation within a fifteen-minute walk of the campus. Residences and studios are equipped with security systems, surveillance, and automatic locking doors. Weekly prices start from $224 for homestay, $176 for mini-studios, $68 for residence rooms, and $55 for serviced apartments, with a $150 placement fee.

Lexis Korea organizes regular cultural and social activities, including excursions to historical and modern sites. Events such as Lexis Meet Up—held every two weeks in a café—and the monthly Lexis Student Night bring together international and local students for language exchange and social interaction.

The Seoul campus occupies three floors of the ANY Tower building with 18 air-conditioned classrooms and a rooftop garden. The Busan campus is located on the sixth floor of DS Tower and offers easy access to the city’s main attractions.

To enroll, applicants submit a registration form, receive an invoice, arrange travel insurance, and complete payment at least two weeks before the course begins. Lexis Korea has also received the STM World School Award, voted for by language education professionals worldwide.
