Founded in 1962, Glion Institute stands among the world's most prestigious hospitality and tourism management schools. Located in Montreux with an additional campus in Bulle, the institute serves approximately 1,600 students from ninety-six countries. Graduates number over 7,000 across eighty-five nations.

Programs range from undergraduate preparation to bachelor's degrees, master's programs, and MBAs. Specializations include business, tourism, hospitality, event management, and sports management. All instruction is conducted in English.

Academic programs combine theoretical study with practical training. Students complete paid internships in Swiss hotels and restaurants, with placement assistance provided by a dedicated department. Approximately eighty-six percent of graduates receive job offers before completing their degrees. The institute partners with 15,000 companies, and forty to sixty employers visit annually to recruit students. Each student typically receives five to six internship offers.

Accreditations include NEASC from the United States. Glion co-founded the Swiss Hotel Schools Association (ASEH). International atmosphere and rigorous academic standards prepare graduates for leadership positions, with sixty-five percent occupying management roles. Career opportunities span tourism, hotels, spas, ecotourism, resorts, cruises, casinos, events, finance, consulting, entertainment, and entrepreneurship.

Campus locations provide access to France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Britain via excellent transport links. First-year students typically share twin rooms with en-suite facilities. Single rooms may be available for additional cost.

Admission requires secondary school certificate for undergraduate programs or bachelor's degree for master's and MBA programs. English proficiency must be demonstrated through IELTS 5.0+, TOEFL 500+, or Cambridge First Certificate. A personal essay is also required.

Additional costs include student uniform deposit and registration fees. Transfers and flights are not included in tuition.
